I can’t believe it’s been a year (and a day) since the fantastic Joel Plaskett show at the Habitat. With backing vocals of Ana Egge and Rose Cousins, and of course his Dad, this sold out show was my favourite Kelowna show last year.

Current Swell, a band based in Victoria BC, is in the foreground of the “new roots” music front pushing out of Canada’s west coast. The band has been around for a few years getting their early recognition around the world as a mainstay in the “surf rock” community.
It was announced today that Broken Social Scene will be playing an intimate show at the Kelowna Community Theatre on Sunday, October 10th. That’s pretty awesome. Ticket presale starts tomorrow, on sale to general public May 14th for $30!!
