Whether a cappella, solo at the piano or dulcimer, or with his stellar ensemble, david sereda’s joy of singing is irresistible. His unique songs blend folk, gospel, soul, jazz and pop with a restless flair. He hits emotional bulls-eyes then turns on a dime with a laugh-out-loud lyric. He seeks to discover the universal in the personal and the transcendent in the everyday.
david has performed in concert and festivals coast to coast for over 30 years. Originally from Edmonton, Alberta he is now based in St. Catharines, ON.
An openly gay singer songwriter, david was delighted to contribute to a new project (with the community arts company, Sheatre) – Be Our Ally, a project addressing homophobia and diversity from a rural and small-town LGBTQ perspective. It includes theatre, photography and a song-writing collaboration with students from GSAs in three elementary schools.
