Bill Bourne – April 26 at the East Kelowna Community Hall

The Kelowna Folk Club
presents
BILL BOURNE
On tour Live

April 26 at the East Kelowna Community Hall

Canada’s folk/blues shaman, Bill Bourne, is coming to Kelowna.   A multiple Juno nominee and award winner, Bill’s music is diverse and rich with many traditional music elements from around the world. He plays guitar and sings with a deep and soulful sound; his songs convey stories that are poetic and life affirming. A veteran story teller from the very first note regardless of the style or genre of music, this is the way it was meant to be done – from the very beginning you will hang off every note anticipating more to come.

Bill is a great collaborator and was here last with the group Tri-continental, and toured and recorded with the Tannahill Weavers, Eivor Palsdottir, his son Patrick Bourne, etc.

In his latest album, Songs from a Gypsy Caravan, Bill continues to explore genres and their myriad influences. As noted by the Globe and Mail reviewer “This dude’s plugged into a heavy mainline, his songs coming through in a steady soulful charge. The eclectic Canadian veteran mostly uses a finger picked acoustic guitar as he works his way through dirt road gospel, mesmerizing folk, and Delta stomp and slide”.  Don’t miss the magical, mystery of Bourne.
