Come out at enjoy for the first time to Kelowna BC, all the way from Habana Cuba the sound, the feel and the groove from this great performer WIL CAMPA and his 13 piece band. The Theatre will be set up with Cuban colors, drinks and music so if you haven’t been to Cuba…you will experience it on this night! We have set up a dance floor in the Theatre so there are no reserved tickets. It is a first come first serve seating.
Smoking Hot Night of Cuban Music! One of Cuba’s leading artists, vocalist Wil Campa is a moving and extraordinary performer. A child prodigy, he rose through the ranks of great Cuban musicians to become an international touring artist. He toured and recorded with the famed group Maraca, and he has performed with Cuban legends Omara Portuondo and Ibrahim Ferrer, and with North American stars like Wynton Marsalis, Natalie Cole, and Joe Lovano.
Wil Campa Bio
Wil Campa, His voice will capture and embrace you with with his native Cuban sound. His talent transformed him into an Artistic Musical Figure in Cuba.
Wil performed three recordings with the orchestra “Maraca”. The first CD was “Descarga Total”(“Total Download”), the second “Tremenda Rumba” which in 2002 had an American Grammy Nomination, the latest CD “Soy Yo” (“I am”), several awards and prizes recognized for the national and international press for the Cuban Video Clip.
