Kelowna Concert season – 2006 is here!!

Ok, 2006 is shapping up to be pretty good. Not many big concerts coming our way yet. Motley Crue is on April 8th, but this month we have DOA playing the Well and the Black Halos playing OKM Hall. I’m sure the Well and the Habitat will have some more upcoming shows.

If Flashback’s plan to continue to have bands on Thursday nights, hopefully they will promote them. The Rubbermaids and Life are playing the OK Corral on Jan. 25th. Of course, the annual Nickelback show is here on Jan. 19th. If there were tickets available I would say its worth going to see Live and Danko Jones.

The Trews are announcing a tour next week and hopefully it will include a Kelowna stop. It would be great if Sam Roberts passed through the valley since he hasn’t played here since July 2003 for Wakefest. I’m hoping to see The Novaks or Matt Mays play in the area in the spring.

I’m surpised with Aerosmith and Bon Jovi playing in Seattle over the next few months, no word on a possible show. I guess they’re not even playing Vancouver so probably no show here. My fingers are crossed for The Who this summer. AT the very least, they should be playing 5 hrs away at the Gorge.

Cheers,
Laner

This seven-piece rhythm and blues band features a great horn section and vocals from four of the band members. They’ll be playing for two shows, an all-ages matinee at 3 p.m. and a concert at 8 p.m.

Tickets for the matinee are $5 at the door, evening show $12 for members and $17.50 for non-members avaialbe at The Bean Scene and Bean to Cup.

I got my tickets!
