F&M, is part Low, part Nick Cave, Smog and Will Oldham. The Albertan band is hinged upon two singer-songwriters: a Forensic Recreational Therapist and a Soviet Rock Culture Historian, who prefer to describe their musical style as art-folk rock. F&M, which just developed last year (2007) after a Christmas 2006 resurrection, is currently working on an artistic collaboration with local (Edmonton) artist and Deadwear entrepreneur Glen Ronald on a new album for the fall/winter. The upcoming release will be more of an art show with painting inspired by the music, and the music inspired by loss. Some of these new songs will be a part of the July 3rd show. For now, F&M is content on touring their current album, “Let Every Light Shine” (Shameless Records Canada, June 2007). Enjoy a mix of quiet intensity and brilliant pop from 5 creative music acts on Thursday, July 3, 2008.
NOTE: F&M will be playing a more acoustic show for the Okanagan dates (August 20 and 21). These shows will provide two sets of prairie born music.
