The Rock the Peach Festival has been getting some press lately with the release of the first round of artists – RONNIE DUNN, WALK OFF THE EARTH, COLLECTIVE SOUL, SAM ROBERTS BAND, BLACKIE & THE RODEO KINGS, WAR and THREE DOG NIGHT. The event takes place in Penticton on July 27-29th, 2012. Now, another new Festival, the Keloha Festival will take place in Kelowna on July 6-8th, 2012. See you there!

It’s always fun to look back at the local shows around Kelowna to come up with this Top 10 list. I must say, every year there seems to be new venues opening their doors to live music, and new bands popping up. It’s great to see the support of local live music fans.

A new music festival is coming to Penticton July 27-29th, and promises to have a world-class Artist lineup. I’ll be watching for the announcement, but it looks like 30day passes are already available for $200. Check it out!

Kelowna Fusion Festival – this Saturday, August 13th!

This Saturday is the Kelowna Fusion Festival (formerly known as Mardi Gras) and the Schedule is here. Find out where they artists are playing by checking out the site Map (also in a downloadable PDF).

The City’s Downtown Parks will be activated for the day with programming ranging from Kerry Park through Stuart Park. The site will open to upwards of 10,000 spectators made up of families, friends, residents and travelers alike who will join together Downtown to enjoy live entertainment, culture, activities and vendors from across the Okanagan Valley.

From family friendly programming, activities, and cultural pavilions in Kerry Park and Stuart Park to the “Taste of Downtown”; a self-guided tour featuring some of the best in ethnic foods around the Downtown Core, the Kelowna Fusion Festival presents an exciting look into different aspects of our diversified city as they fuse together to bring attendees a one of a kind cultural experience.

The Kelowna Fusion Festival will also provide Downtown businesses with an opportunity to showcase and enhance their products and services. The attendance that the festival will draw to Downtown Kelowna will also ensure businesses increased traffic during the festival as well as a marketing tool to promote their business during the summer months.
