Before they showcase at the New Music West festival in vancouver this weekend, the Meligrove Band from Toronto are playing the OK Mission Hall with Paper Moon and Alpha Baby. Check it out! I can’t make it because I’m going to the Death Cab for Cutie show in vancouver, but the OK Mission Hall will be rockin’.

Son of Barney Bentall, Dustin has definitely learned a thing or two from the old man about songwriting, performing and least of all singing. Dusty’s vocal capabilities range from soft melodies, gravelly blues, to straight up belt it out. Streets With No Lights is the epitome of this young songwriters influences including Gram Parsons, Neil Young, Steve Earl, and dear old dad, but with Dustin’s size 10 bootprint firmly stomped into the backside of this timeless piece of work.

Bent is a crooner, gee-tar player, songwriter, entertainer, and recording artist currently residing in Vancouver, B.C. Love and murder, dope and glory, politics, western fiction, pop culture is Ridley’s addiction. Throw in some break beats, phat bass, sweet country lead and a melody and you’ve got yourself an earful of ‘Hick Hop’.
